Hastelloy C22®은 피팅, 틈새 부식, 입계 부식, 응력 부식 균열 등과 같은 일반적인 부식에 내성을 가진다.
크롬, 몰리브덴, 텅스텐 및 철을 함유하고 있어서 고여 있거나 또는 흐르는 해수에서 내부식성을 지닌다.
가스 텅스텐 아크, 가스 금속 아크 및 피복 금속 아크 용접에 쓰인다.
Hastelloy C22® provides resistance to general corrosion, pitting, crevice corrosion, intergranular attack, and stress corrosion cracking. Hastelloy C22® contains chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, and iron which makes the alloy resistant to corrosion in stagnant or flowing seawater. The alloy is formed by gas tungsten-arc, gas metal-arc, and shielded metal-arc processes.
