Monel K-500®은 Monel 400®과 같은 특성과 내부식성을 가진 니켈-구리 합금임.
알루미늄과 티타늄 첨가로 인해 모넬400에 비해 보다 더 큰 강도와 경도를 지닌다.
몇몇 환경에서는 시효 경화 조건에 있어서 더 큰 응력 부식 균열 성향을 가지는 경향이 있다.
Monel K-500® is a nickel-copper alloy with the same corrosion resistance and property as the Monel 400®. The Monel K-500® has a greater strength and hardness then the 400, as a result of added aluminum and titanium. In age-hardened condition, it has greater tendency toward stress- corrosion cracking in some environments.
